The Concordia University Women's volleyball team wrapped up their Bay Area trip with two wins to bring their record to 13-10 overall and 9-5 in the PacWest.On Friday night, the Eagle's offense was too much for Notre Dame De Namur in a 25-20, 25-19, 18-25, 25-23 match. The Eagles out-hit the Argonauts 51-39 in the very competitive match in Belmont, Calif.
Rachel Flynn smashed 17 kills followed by
Ellie Ladensack with 14.
Taylor Dennison recorded 21 digs in the match.
On Saturday, the Eagles visited the Urban Knights of the Academy of Art in San Francisco. The Eagles had a block party by the bay, out blocking the Knights 8-2 and won the match 3-0, 25-23, 25-16, and 25-18.
Kyra Auten recorded five blocks along with
Hannah Andrews and
Logan Grove who had three.
Coach Weishoff remarked, "
Ellie Ladensack (14 kills) had a big night against Notre Dame de Namur and helped us come out on top versus a determined and fiesty team defending their home court."
The Lady Eagles are determined to redeem an early season tough road loss when they host Dixie State on Halloween with an early 5 pm start at CU Arena.
