The Rundown:  The Concordia Eagles lost their first game as an NCAA Division II school, 91-47, at Tarleton State (TX) on Friday night, as part of the TexAnn Tip-Off Classic in Stepheville, TX.

By the Numbers:  No Eagle scored in double figures, but Brittany Stafford was the closes with nine.  Zoe Goss and Tyler Crockom added eight each.  Stafford and Gaby Johnson led on the boards with nine each.

The Difference:  CUI shot 31% while TSU shot 53%, and neither team shot well from three.  The rebounds were even at 40, but the Eagles did have 23 turnovers leading to 19 TSU assists.  CUI was outscored in the paint 54-26, 26-7 off turnovers, and 22-2 in fastbreak points.

Critical Plays: TSU put 13 points on the board before CUI was able to score to start the contest.  The Eagles got the deficit down to 17 early in the second half, and kept it in the low 20s the majority of the way.   

What it Means:  In both teams openers, they went to 1-0 and 0-1.
