The Rundown:Â The Concordia Eagles fell on the road, 62-53, to Chaminade, on Thursday evening in Honolulu, Hawaii, despite late fourth quarter run.

The Difference:Â The Eagles did well off the bench, scoring 29 points compared to Chaminades 11, but The Eagles 26 turnovers allowed Chaminade to convert 21 points making an impact on the final score.

Critical Plays: The Eagles trailed by five after the first quarter after Chaminades Taylor BabbitT made a three point buzzer beater to extend the lead to five, 17-12. In the second, the Eagles were the first to score with a jumper in the paint by
Brittany Stafford followed by a made three point shot by
Haley Brown to tie the game at 17. Chaminade went on a 15-5 run to lead 32-22 at the half. In the third, The Eagles fought back to overcome a 15 point deficit by going on an 8-0 run to cut the Chaminade lead 39-33. The Eagles fought hard to find their way back into the game but were unable to overcome Chaminades largest lead of 15. The Eagles lost 62-53.
"Turnovers were costly against this team that was able to convert in the open floor," says Head Coach
Trisha Stafford-Odom.
 "When I teach my players to truly value every possession and minimize turnovers, we will be a competitive team.  We didn't have enough players crashing the boards with the tenacity of Chaminade.  Our practice day tomorrow will refocus us on the basics and the strengths of our team."

What it Means:Â The Eagles fall to 1-4 overall on the season and suffer their first loss in the PacWest.
