The Rundown: The Concordia Eagles women's basketball team suffered their second loss in the PacWest on Saturday, 76-59, on the road in Honolulu, Hawaii.
 
By the Numbers: Brittany Stafford scored 13 points for CUI, and Haley Brown added 11.  Zoe Goss grabbed five rebounds and Jasmine Davis was able to bring in two offensive rebounds.  Brittany Stafford dished eight assists.
 
The Difference:  Turnovers were costly for the Eagles as they gave the ball away 13 times.  Hawaii Pacific took advantage of their opportunities scoring 21 points from turnovers alone.
 
Critical Plays:  Hawaii Pacific was off to a lead after the first quarter, 22-14, but the Eagles fought hard in the second coming back from an eight point deficit to tie the game at 35 going into the second half.  Tyler Crockom's layup with 13 seconds left in the half evened the score.  In the third, Hawaii Pacific was quick to get out to an eleven-point lead.  Their 11-0 run started ten seconds into the third when Spencer Gray drained a three point shot.  In the fourth, the Eagles were only able to cut the Hawaii Pacific lead to eight and lost 76-59.
 
"My players made a valiant first half effort that showed we are capable of putting together scoring runs and getting defensive stops.  Our energy tonight was refreshing and encouraging yet we dug ourselves a hole when we allowed an 11-0 run to start the third", says head coach Trish Stafford-Odom.

"The worst part of the night was the second half rebounding difference, which can't happen again moving forward."
 
What it Means:  The Eagles fall to 1-5 overall on the season and 0-2 in the PacWest.
