The Rundown: The Concordia Eagles didn't have their best night, but it was enough on Senior Night as they defeated Academy of Art, 79-65, inside CU Arena on Saturday night.

By the Numbers:  Senior Stephen Grosey capped his career in CU Arena in typical fashion, with 24 points and 15 rebounds.  Senior Martin Thomas scored 10 and had three assists and JT Roach added 16.  Justin Davis had six assists.

The Difference:  CUI won on the boards, 39-24 and had 22 points off 16 AAU turnovers.

Critical Plays:  Grosey got out to five points early and CUI led 9-4.  JT Roach and Justin Davis hit threes to make it 14-5.  CUI went cold for a little while, and AAU pulled to 19-12 with nine minutes left.  Mike Mellinger hit a three, but AAU scored a layup to keep it under 10 and a three made it 30-26.  AAU was hanging tough four minutes into the second half, trailing just 40-37.  Two straight from Geoff Gerlach and Scott made it 50-42, CUI's largest lead of the half.  Roach hit a three in transition and CUI jumped up 55-44 with eight left in the game.  After the Urban Knights got it back under 10, Justin Davis responded with a layup.  Scott found Grosey for the alley-oop dunk and it was 66-52 Eagles with 3:43 left  CUI was able to finish from the foul line late, 79-65.

What it Means:  The Eagles improve to 22-3 and 15-2 in the PacWest.

Up Next:  Concordia has three games left in 2016, with the scenario of winning two-out-of-three to clinch the institution's first PacWest Championship.  That stretch begins Monday night with a 7 pm game against Cal Baptist in Riverside.
