The Rundown: The Concordia Eagles fell at Cal Baptist on Monday night, 84-49.
By the Numbers: Tyler Crockom led CUI with 13 points and Zoe Goss scored 10. Crockom dialed the double-double with 13 rebounds.
The Difference: CBU hit 10 three pointers while Concordia was 0-16 from deep.
Critical Plays: CUI won the tip and went on a break with seconds off the clock as Elizabeth Rudd scored a layup. The Lancers began the game with a free throw shot and then back to back 3's and were 4-6 behind 3-point land within the first 4 minutes of the game. With 2:52 left in the 1st quarter Tyler Crockom got her second drive in 2 possessions. Ashley Eales tied the game with two minutes left in the first quarter and Lancers respond with a 3-point shot to quickly to take the lead back. In the second half, Cassidy Mihalko scored a three with 1:30 left in the 3rd. Gaby Johnson answered with under a minute left, grabbing her own rebound and a bucket. Earles ended the 3rd quarter by driving the basket, drawing a foul, and going 2-2 at the line. With a minute and a half left in the game Alana Allensworth broke the drought and got a bucket under the basket with the assist from Rudd.
What it Means: Concordia fell to 2-21 and 1-17 in the PacWest.
