Â
"Today was all about details. We did a lot of things really well," says head coach
Joe Turgeon. "We played extremely well defensively, minimized a half a dozen innings on the mound and were able to keep both games close by just being fundamental. We also lacked a few details which is why when we looked up at the scoreboard it showed us on the losing end"
Â
"We played hard as a team like we always do," said freshman infielder,
Hunter Holland. "We just need to do a few more little things to get runs across. If we keep getting the next guy up and do the small things we will start seeing the results we want. Tomorrow is another great day to play ball and we will come out hungry."
Â
The Eagles record falls to 4-7 on the season following the losses.
Â
"We are hoping we can continue to learn from out successes and our failures as we continue to move forward. Tomorrow will be the last day of the series and as it always will be, it will be all about attitude," concluded Turgeon.
Â
The Concordia Eagles will take on UC San Diego tomorrow in the fourth and final game of the series at 12 pm in La Jolla, Calif. at Triton Ballpark.
