The Rundown: The Concordia Eagles split at home with Arizona Christian on Wednesday, 8-0 and 3-5.

By the Numbers: Ryann Ferguson had two doubles and a single, and Alyssa Yglesias and Charlotte Foster each added two hits. Grayson Harvey pitched five innings of one-hit ball and improved to 15-1, and BethAnn McCann finished a perfect sixth.
The Difference:Â The Eagles outhit ACU 11-1.
Critical Plays: The Eagles loaded the bases with hits from Ferguson and Alyssa Yglesias in the first and scored two runs on a hit batter and sac fly. CUI was quiet until the fourth when Jasmin Dresser was thrown out at home tagging up to keep the score 2-0. Harvey worked around two errors with a groundout in the fifth. Ferguson doubled to left center with one out in the fifth and Yglesias bunted a single to move her over. Charlotte Foster singled off the wall to drive in one and Amy Eilefson followed with a double down to drive in one more. A single from Hanna Miller scored another and an error allowed one right behind her. CUI tacked on two more in the sixth to end the game.
Concordia 3, Arizona Christian 5
By the Numbers: Ferguson doubled again and had three hits. Yglesias came off the bench for two hits. Susana Gurney took the loss allowing five runs on six hits in four and one-third innings.
The Difference:Â The Firestorm took advantage of some illegal pitches in the third and tacked on two more with a home run in the fifth, and their pitching platoon did just enough to keep CUI off balance.
Critical Plays: ACU put runners on the corners in the second, but Gurney escaped with a groundout. ACU took advantage of some illegal pitches and singles to score three runs in the third. Hannah Howell laid a bunt single in the bottom half and Ferguson followed with a double to right center. One run scored on a sac fly from Foster. ACU homered in the fifth to get that run back. A double and single made it 5-1 Firestorm. Yglesias, Ferguson, and Foster tacked together three singles in the bottom half, and a fielder's choice and error made it 5-3. Two walks and a single from Yglesias loaded them for CUI in the sixth, but they could not do any damage. CUI was quiet in the seventh.Â
What it Means:Â Concordia goes to 26-5 on the year.
