The Rundown: The Concordia Eagles split at home with Point Loma on Thursday, 2-0 and 4-5, at Eagles Field.

By the Numbers:Â Spencer Nielsen was a triple short of a cycle and scored both runs, and Isaiah Terrazas threw a complete-game four-hit shutout.Â
The Difference:Â The Eagles played solid defense, and with Nielsen and Terrazas they won a clean game.
Critical Plays: Spencer Nielsen doubled into the left center gap to start the third. An RBI groundout from Luke Hussung made it 1-0 Eagles. A walk and single from Nielsen put them on second and third after a sac bunt in the fifth. A strikeout and diving play ended the threat. Point Loma put them on the corners with two out in the sixth, a groudout kept them off the board. John Bornhop singled for CUI in the bottom half to put them at the corners with one down, but a lineout double play kept it at 1-0. Nielsen went yard to left field with one out in the seventh to make it 2-0. Terrazas finished the complete-game shutout.Â

By the Numbers: Brett Barker had three hits, including a double. Hunter Holland and Luke Van Holten also doubled. Bornhop had two hits and Spencer Moran threw three and third scoreless innings to finish.
The Difference:Â The Sea Lions got five runs off CUI starter Collin Orellana, but the Eagles came streaking back late, scoring three runs in the last two innings and leaving runners on the corners to end the game.
Critical Plays: Orellana worked around two hits in the first. A perfect bunt single from Tino Leite and single from Brett Barker put them on the corners for CUI in the bottom, but a double play kept it at zeros. Two solo home runs, a double, and single made it 3-0 Sea Lions in the second. PLNU tacked on two more in the third to make it 5-0. Bornhop and Brett Barker singled to put them on the corners for CUI in the sixth. A sac fly made it 5-1. Luke Van Holten doubled down the left field line with one out in the seventh. Hunter Holland doubled in the eighth and scored on an error. Hussung and Ryan Land singled in the ninth to pose a threat, and Barker doubled off the wall to make it 4-5. A single from Bornhop put them on the corners, but the game ended on a pickoff.Â
What it Means:Â Concordia ends the long homestand at 17-17 and 13-9 in the PacWest.
