From Eagles head coach Joe Turgeon:

"California Baptist is a great team and it was a battle back and forth all day.
Coach Fahey and Coach Benjamin have been developing our offense extremely well and that showed.  Our defensive effort helped keep us in the game and everyone did well playing in the wet weather.

Giving up free bases through walks and hit batters hurt us, and at times offensively we weren't able to take advantage of having runners in scoring position.

There aren't any moral victories when you go down 3-0 in a series but I don't believe it takes away from our season and where we.  We continue to be together and play well as a team even though we came up a little bit short.  I am proud of our guys for competing and keeping their fight.

We've been playing with the right effort, competitiveness, and belief that we will be successful and tomorrow we plan to be positive and ready to play."

Following the doubleheader, the Eagles record drops to 19-21 overall and 15-12 in the PacWest.

The final game of the four game series with the Lancers is tomorrow, April 9th at 10:30 am in Riverside.
