"As a group we played competitive baseball all series long. Â Today we were consistent throwing strikes and giving ourselves the best opportunities to be successful both offensively and on the mound. Â When the whole lineup is hitting and throwing up quality at bats, it really takes teh pressure off of everyone and they feel the need to have fun rather that feel pressure," said Nielsen.
The Lancers didn't quit and were able to bring across three more runs in the eighth after doubles from Antonio Chavarria and A.J. David and a single from Jake Gallaway to tighten the score, 7-4.

"Our team played a very clean brand of baseball this weekend. Â Even though the series ended up being 3-1 in favor of CBU, we were right there at the end of each ball game," said Eagels assistant coach
Matt Fahey. Â "Our pitchers did an outstanding job giving our team a chance against a very good offensive club."
"It was a weekend where out team took a step forward, the series results were not what we wanted but the quality of baseball that was played was impressive and we as a staff will take that every time and we are excited to continue with this momentum and finish the season strong."
