After 110-minutes of scoreless play, Concordia and Biola University ended Saturday's evening PacWest matchup in a 0-0 draw.
The two teams exemplified relentless and physical play throughout the four periods, with both teams battling until the last second of sunlight illuminated Eagles Field in Irvine.
In the first half, Biola contained Concordia to only three shots. Biola applied pressure, but William Whiddon fought off the visitors with four saves. In the second period, the two teams maintained the quick and aggressive pace. Although both teams took four shots, neither were successful in taking a lead.
With light slowly fading, Concordia and Biola agreed to finish the game. While Concordia created a few scoring opportunities, they were unable to score and the double overtime game ended in a draw.
The Eagles are now 6-3-2 and 5-1-1 in conference play. Next week, Concordia travels to San Diego, Calif. for a game against Point Loma before returning home for Saturday's Senior Day against Dixie State. The game is set to start at 4 p.m.
