HOW IT HAPPENED

First Half

The Eagles started strong in the first 10 minutes with a corner kick and early shots from Hussey, Katie Gast, and Carmany Jones. NDNU put Concordia's defense on their heels in the 21st minute. The Argonaut forward found the rebound ball on a shot that was saved by keeper Kaelyn Whitcomb and finished it for a 1-0 lead.

Second Half

Possession of the ball began with attacking plays by NDNU. In the 62nd minute, a shot by Jones started the offensive momentum for the Eagles. Cienah Reed got on the end of a corner kick taken by McKenna Carrillo. Reed's shot was saved by the Argonauts keeper until Hussey found the rebound at the top of the box and sent it into the netting for the equalizing goal.

About a minute later, Reed had possession in the midfield. She played a lofted ball over NDNU's back line for Hussey to run onto. Hussey chipped a shot over the goalkeeper giving the Eagles a 2-1 lead.

In the 70th minute, Notre Dame de Namur answered back. A foul was called on Concordia and a free kick was set up from 19 yards out. NDNU forward Alina Martinez placed the free kick into  the goal to tie the match once again.

First and Second Overtime

The Eagles controlled the majority of the offensive attacks in both overtime periods but could not find the back of the net, leaving the game tied 2-2.

CUI finished the match with 19 shots and 13 on frame while NDNU recorded 11 shots and three on goal.
