SAN RAFAEL, CALIF. — The Concordia Women's Soccer team fell to Dominican University of California in a PacWest match up on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

First Half 

The Penguins started the attack early in the first half with two shots that sailed high and wide of the net. Both teams battles for possession committing a few fouls each before Carmany Jones ripped a shot wide right of the net for the Eagles first attacking play of the game. Isabella Angotti-Jones hit a shot on goal from a free kick, the DUC goalkeeper made the save to keep the Eagles off the board. 

After a foul on Concordia in the 41st minute, DUC's Alyssa Campbell took a free kick that bounced into the back of the net and gave the Penguins the lead 1-0. 

Second Half

Darby Clements makes two saves for the Eagles in the first 15 minutes of the second period. Concordia continued to make offensive attacks with three corner kicks in a row and a shot each from Nicole Font and Morgan Serres. The Eagles fought until the final whistle, falling just short of their eighth PacWest win.

The Eagles return to the field on Sunday November 5th in a PacWest make up game against Academy of Art. Kickoff is scheduled for 12pm.
