Concordia Track and Field closed out the Colorado Mines Alumni Classic and Multi with a number of standout performances. Early into their 2017-2018 schedule, the Eagles proved they are equipped to compete.
Christian Padron took fifth in the 60-meters with a time of 6.97 and Christopher Youngs placed sixth. The pair went back-to-back again in the 200-meters, with Padron claiming third and Youngs earning fourth.
Christopher Henderson completed the 60-meter hurdles in 9.06 seconds for sixth. He also competed for Concordia in the triple jump and finished fourth at 13.60 meters.
After two days of competition, Joshua Fry finished the heptathlon in seventh, jumping up three spots from his tenth place standing after day one.
For the women, Sarah Herron had another successful day in Colorado and placed second in the 60-meters with a 7.86 second performance. She also was second in the long jump.
Te'Mesha Paxton posted 27.53 seconds in the 200-meters and claimed fifth for the Eagles. Hannah Hanson jumped 1.66 meters for the second spot in the high jump.
The Eagles return to competition January 19th-20th at the Cherry and Silver Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M.
