AZUSA, Calif. - In the final regular season meet of the year, the Golden Eagles track and field squad looked to secure spots in the DII National Meet later this month in Pueblo, Colorado. A few members of the green & gold currently sit in qualifying spots on the national rankings, with others still fighting to break into the short list of qualifiers.
In the 800m on Friday,
Porshe Eismann earned a personal record after a strong race, crossing the line at 17:00.69.Â
After a strong season and breaking the 400m hurdle program record just weeks prior,
Maria Sartin extended her record in a superior race to 1:01.15. Fellow Golden Eagle
Karyn Best, in her final race of the season, clocked a career-best mark at 1:02.50.
Jori Paradis, a veteran of the Golden Eagles program, etched her name in history books with an outstanding record-setting 1500m race with a mark of 4:26.15.Â
With the weekend's final race, Juanse Garcia clocked in an impressive mark in the 3000m steeplechase at 9:21.13.Â
