Game 1: Concordia – 7 San Marcos – 3
The Eagles got on the board first in the bottom of the third. Ryann Ferguson found her way on base with a single up the middle to lead things off. McKinsey Thorpe's sacrifice bunt moved Ferguson to second for Alyssa Turner. Turner singled down the right field line to post one run. Amy Eilefson struck next with a single through the left side. Gjertsen generated three Eagle runs with a homer to left center.
In the fourth, Thorpe and Turner hit back-to-back singles to set the Eagles up to score. Eilefson loaded the bases with a shot up the middle and Gjertsen added two more to her RBI total with a single up the middle.
Concordia tallied its final run in the fifth from Lauren Rodriguez. She led off with single and scored on a Cougar error. Although San Marcos made a late game surge with three runs in the seventh, Palazzolo finished the Cougars off.
The Eagles combined for 13 hits and six RBI, five of which came from Gjertsen.
Game 2: Concordia – 3 San Marcos – 0
The Eagle offense remained effective in game two, starting with Ferguson. The junior center fielder singled to the short stop and Thorpe laid down another bunt to advance her a base. Turner launched another single to get Ferguson to third. Gjertsen jumped on another scoring opportunity and singled to center to tack two more to her RBI count.
With McCann holding San Marcos scoreless, the Eagles put up one more security run in the sixth. Ferguson found her way on base again with a triple and Thorpe knocked her in with a single up the middle.
Gjertsen pitched the final three outs for Concordia, sitting down San Marcos with three grounders.
