Concordia Men's and Women's Tennis dropped both of their matches Friday to the Cougars of Azusa Pacific University.
The Men's Team fell 8-1 to the No. 11 team. Erik WItzlinger provided the lone victory for the Eagles. He defeated his opponent 6-3, 6-4. Daniel Reddmann lost a close battle in the fourth flight. In the third set, he went down 10-8.
In doubles play, Man Hon Ko and Otto Heinz almost pulled out the victory, but were defeated 10-8.
The Women's Team lost by a score of 9-0 to the No. 23 APU Cougars. In doubles, Johanna Keeline and Ashley Glick gave the best performance, coming within three to fall 8-5. The team play again at the Costa Mesa Tennis Courts on April 12th at 2 p.m. against San Diego Christian College.
