IRVINE, Calif. — In the finale of a two game series against Cal Poly Pomona (3-2, 0-0 CCAA) Eagles Baseball (3-7, 0-0 PWC) fell 3-1 at home. Concordia's offense recorded five hits and one run. Bailey Collins hit a triple off the right field fence and was later knocked in by Grimes for the Eagles one run on the day. Hunter Holland, Tony Garcia III, and Chris Martin went 1 for 3 in the batters box.
Senior LHP Neil Lang tossed the first three innings and gave up three hits and two earned runs. Heading to the bullpen after the third, Joshua Ibarra took the mound. The Freshman faced 14 batters, striking out three and giving up two hits. Lang received the loss in todays contest.
The Broncos got on the board early in the third inning after first baseman Nic Hernandez hit a three run home run over the right field fence.
In the seventh, Bailey Collins hit a moon shot off the right field fence and paced around the bases for a triple. With Collins primed to score from third, Nick Grimes hit a grounder to shortstop that moved Collins home and the Eagles trailed 3-1.
