The Eagles are now one of four teams, along with Azusa Pacific, Hawaii Pacific, and Cal Baptist, guaranteed a trip to the tournament, which runs from March 1st- March 3rd in Riverside, Calif.

Concordia Clinches: Dominican University led 10-6 in the first, but baskets from Kennedy Fulcher and Michaela Vanderklugt evened things up at 10. Sopavy Seng not only gave the Eagles a lead, but helped them end the quarter up by four with a three-pointer, a layup and a free throw. Fulcher found rhythm at the start of the second. The freshman posted four-straight points and Vanderklugt added four more to tie the game at 24. The Eagles outscored Dominican 27-13 to take control in the third. Reilly Walsh knocked down a deep shot and a free throw to give CUI the one-point lead and ignite a 9-1 scoring run. Montana Walters jumped in next with a successful shot from behind the arc and a layup for the nine point advantage. With the Penguins battling back, Concordia closed out the third with a 10 point lead. Sandra Ikeora continued to pressure the Eagles, and led the Penguins to a two-point lead with 1:30 to play. Vanderklugt came in clutch with a layup and Walters drained a three-pointer for the 73-70 score. Ikeora scored a basket for the Penguins before sending Fulcher to the line for the Eagles with five seconds remaining. Fulcher hit both free shots and Riley Friauf followed up with a steal to regain possession with one second to go. Friauf was fouled, sent to the stripe and made one shot for the 76-72 Eagle victory.
