At an even 4-4 in the bottom of the 8th, Bailey Collins stepped up to the plate. After a loss in the opening series against the Trailblazers, Concordia was looking to bounce back adn tie the series at one game apiece. With two outs, Collins connected on a pitch for the go ahead solo home run. Morgan Brannock took the mound for the Eagle in the top of the ninth nd recorded three straight outs to secure the 5-4 victory. 

Concordia recorded the game's first run. Alex DiMascio doubled down the left line and advanced to third on the bunt from Hunter Holland. Juan Zuniga knocked him in for the 1-0 advantage. In the third, Dixie state posted three runs on two hits and one Eagle error. They went on to extend the lead to three in the fourth, but the Eagles soon struck back. In the bottom of four, Haloa Dudoit drew a lead off walk. Collins singled to center and thw two moved over on a sacrifice bunt from DiMascio. Holland doubled to left center to bring the to base runners around and set CUI within one. After holding the Trailblazers scoreless for back-to-back innings, the Eagles tied the game 4-4 in the seventh. Holland tallied his second hit of the day and advanced to third on a single from Zuniga. Dominic Castro pulled through next with an RBI single to left field. The following Eagle at-bat, Collins knocked his game winning homer. 

Eagle Eye: Brannock recorded the win, allowing zero hits in his 1.1 innings on the bump. Holland was two-for-two with a pair of RBI and one run scored. Collins finished the game two-for-four with two runs and one RBI. Dudoit had one run, one hit and one stolen base. 

What's Next: CUI returns to Eagles Field Saturday for a double header against Dixie State beginning at 12 p.m.
