For the fifth straight match, the Concordia men's soccer team focused on playing an aggressive style and racked up more fouls than its opponent.

But this time, the host Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes were able to unlock the right combinations and earn a 4-0 victory over the Eagles.

Senior Connor Gordon had three shot attempts and the Eagles actually outshot the hosts in the first half (7-4). 

The Green and Gold also earned seven corners in the first half but were unable to convert.

The Coyotes were led by Danny Ortiz who registered a goal and three assists.

CUI returns to action Thursday, September 20 at 1 p.m. when Fresno Pacific travels to Irvine as part of a men's and women's doubleheader.

This will be the designated "Code Yellow" matches for both CUI soccer teams as fans, students, faculty, staff and alumni are all encouraged to wear yellow or gold to support their Eagles on the pitch.
