HONOLULU, HI - The Eagles went to Hawaii to play in the HAL Rainbow Warrior Classic January 10-12. They would first face off against USC, who they compete against in the MPSF as well.
The Trojans came out strong in the beginning of the match, which led them to take the first set with a score 14-25. In the second set, the Eagles would push the Trojans with a few service errors to keep them within distance, but ultimately the Trojans were able to finish the set 18-25. USC continued their momentum from the first two sets, allowing them to go on a couple long runs, which led them to getting their first win of the season against Concordia.
Chandler Gibb had another 13 assists and five digs on the night, while
Hunter Howell led the team with six kills and two blocks.
Raymond Barsemian rallied in five kills and
Jordan Hoppe recorded five kills, three blocks, as well as three digs.
The Eagles will continue to play in the HAL Rainbow Warrior Classic Friday, January 11 at 7PM HT against the host of the tournament No.4 Hawaii.
