IRVINE, Calif. -- With the series tied at one game a piece, Concordia Baseball hosted the Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans for the final two games of the PacWest series on Monday at Eagles Field. Hilo baseball won game one 10-6 and game two 12-7 to take the series three games to one.

Game One: Hawai'i Hilo 10, Concordia 6
Hawai'i Hilo struck first in game one and added two to the board in the top of the first. Fighting back from the start, the Eagles offense was productive in the bottom of the first. Nick Grimes and Matt Lautz singled to occupy the bases. Tony Garcia III knocked an RBI single to center field to score both Grimes and Lautz. Garcia advanced to second on the throw to the plate and was hit home on a single by Cooper Moore.
In the top of the second, Dominic Castro caught a fly ball in left field, crow-hopped and lasered a throw to Grimes who tossed to home and got the tying run out at home to preserve the Eagles lead at 3-2.
The Vulcans added one in the third and two in the fourth. Concordia matched it with a pair of runs from a Bailey Collins sacrifice fly to left field and an RBI single from Chris Martin II in the fourth, to tie the game at 5-5.
Hawai'i Hilo ran away with it in the later innings, scoring five runs. Donovan did his best to cut the lead with a solo shot over the right field fence in the ninth inning. Eagles dropped game one, 10-6.
Garcia: 2-for-4 with a single, double and two RBIs
Martin: 2-for-4 with one RBI
Castro: 2-for-3 with a double and a single
Game Two: Concordia 12, Hawai'i Hilo 7
Mike Killeen made his first appearance on the hill post-injury in the top of the third. The redshirt sophomore threw three innings and allowed four hits.
Garcia continued to be a leader in the lineup and in the field. In the third, the catcher fielded a bunt that dropped right in front of the plate and immediately threw down to Dudoit at second base who threw to first and to turn a double play and shorten the top of the third inning.
All good things come in pairs, Eagles runs included. CUI scored two runs in each of the first, second, and fourth innings. First, Lautz and Donovan find home plate after an error by the Vulcan's right fielder. Next, Dudoit singled up the middle to score Collins in the second. Grimes knocked an RBI single in the second to score Castro.
To tie the game in the fourth, Grimes hammered an RBI double down the left field line to score Dudoit. Soon after, Donovan singled through the right side to score Grimes and the go-ahead run.
The Vulcans came back and scored 6 runs in the eighth inning to secure their win, 12-7.
Dudoit: 4-for-5 with one RBI and a double
Grimes: 3-for-4 with two RBI's
Donovan: 1-for-2 with a walk and hit-by-pitch
