IRVINE, Calif. – The Concordia University Irvine women's water polo team earned a second chance to face-off against Azusa Pacific on Saturday in the consolation bracket at the Golden Coast Conference Tournament.
Ramsie Haskell led the Eagles with three goals. In addition to scoring a hat trick, Haskell also snatched three steals.
Dailynn Santoro jump-started the offense with a goal in the first period.Â
Shannon Graham also scored once in the third quarter to trim the APU lead to 7-2. Â But the Eagles could not completely dig out of the early hole and ultimately fell by a count of12-5.
CUI goalie Arianna Olmos snagged ten saves between the pipes.
The Eagles get one more chance to finish the season on a high note, when they play No. 7 seed Santa Clara in the seventh place game Sunday at 9:15 a.m.
