WAIPAHU, Hawai'i - The Eagles were back in conference action Saturday evening as they faced the Sharks of Hawai'i Pacific University in their third conference match of the season.
Neither team could quite find an advantage throughout the first half of play, with the Eagles outshooting their opponents seven to one shot. The second half carried on similar to the first, with neither team able to produce any threatening chances to put them on top. The Eagles were forced to play with ten on the field after the 67th minute due to an issued red card but could hold off the Shark's offense for the remainder of the match.
Solid performances from both defenses proved to be the decider, with CUI's keeper
Hailey Asato collecting her fourth clean sheet of the season. Despite the scoreless result, JadennCarillo was able to produce nine of the Eagles eighteen total shots of the match, four of those finding the frame of the goal.
The Eagles finish their PacWest road trip against the Vulcans of Hawai'i Hilo next Tuesday, October 19th, at 3:00 p.m. (PT).
