IRVINE, Calif. - The PacWest Conference Preseason Polls have been released and both Concordia basketball teams are projected to finish in the Top 6 of the league.
The CUI women's basketball team was picked fourth by the 11 coaches in the league, behind Azusa Pacific, defending champion Hawai'i Pacific and Point Loma.
Head coach
Christine Collins-Kiernan returns multiple starters including
Michaela VanderKlugt who was named to the Preseason All-PacWest Team once again!
Katie Timmerman and
Jasmine Rachal are also back for a fourth year along with a talented mix of freshmen, returners and multiple D1 transfers. Freshmen
Kendall Jackson and
Justyce Harris are former high school teammates from Clovis West.

The CUI men's basketball squad was picked sixth in this year's preseason poll. Point Loma was projected as the top team, followed by Biola, Azusa Pacific and Chaminade.
This will be head coach
Ken Ammann's 21st season with the Eagles, who have won 485 games during his tenure in Irvine. The Green and Gold return a number of key contributors including forward
Dayshone Henry, guard
Drew Ramirez and former high school teammates
Kayle Knuckles and
Jalen Sanders. Jalen's younger brother, Kobe, is also one of the new Eagles looking to help the team this season.
