CUI Spooks HPU In Three

IRVINE, Calif. – After a battle against Chaminade earlier this week, the Eagles took control of the match against Hawai'i Pacific tonight and marked their eighth sweep over a PacWest team this season. The Eagles are now 14-6 and 9-4 in the conference.
 
Senior setter Brianna Latigue dished out another 37 assists for the second time in a row tonight with libero Cassidy Gelacio digging up the ball all over the court tonight with 24 digs. That marks the seventh time that Gelacio has scooped up over 20 digs on the court for the Eagles.
 
Kirra Schulz had an impressive performance setting a career high of 21 kills on the night in just a three set match along with 15 digs. Schulz added another double-double night to make that her tenth of the season.
 
Freshman Kennedy Farley contributed 12 kills and three block assists. Daniela Poles led the Eagles with four aces while adding six kills and four digs.
 
Middle blocker Hannah Tostado came up strong for the Green and Gold with nine kills hitting .529 and no errors. Jalyssa Sanchez had four kills and three blocks defensively.
 
Setter Kawehi Chang and right side hitter Ola Magiera contributed to the game for the Eagles where Sanchez and Chang finished the match with a block.
 
The Eagles will continue their home stand next week against Holy Names on Friday, Nov. 5 p.m. and a double header on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. versus Dominican.
