HONOLULU, Hawaii – The CUI women's basketball team dropped its Hawai'i opener against HPU on Monday, narrowly falling 69-64 to the Sharks.
Guard
Jasmine Rachal continued her impressive start to the season, scoring 27 points with five rebounds, two assists, and shooting 45 percent from three-point range in the game. The junior has scored at least 15 points in her first five games this season, averaging 19.8 points per game. That stretch is her best five-game start to a season in her four years as an Eagle.
Katie Timmerman (13),
Michaela VanderKlugt (11), and

Despite keeping the game within reach all four quarters and never falling behind by more than 10 points, the Eagles couldn't complete the full comeback in the fourth quarter.
The Green & Gold continue their stay in the Aloha State with a game against Chaminade on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
