IRVINE, Calif. - The Concordia University Irvine baseball team played their first game in 370 days tonight in an exhibition against Division 1 Cal State Northridge. This was also the Eagles' first home night game in program history.
Pitching dominated the game, with only 6 total hits being recorded by both teams. The game remained scoreless into the 6th, before CSUN scored all three of their runs in the top of the inning.
Brett Vansant turned in a strong start, going 4.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, and 5 K. In the top of the 5th,
Tony Garcia III gunned down a runner with a quick tag from
Haloa Dudoit.
Matt Lautz recorded the Eagles' only hit in the bottom of the 6th with a single to left field.
