IRVINE, Calif. – The No. 23 women's tennis held a five-game win streak as they defeated MSU Denver 4-2.
The Eagles improved to 9-2 overall this season as they have won their last five home matches in a row. The match against the Roadrunners started off slow as only
Rebekah Anderson and
Taylor Lau won their doubles match. However, the Eagles rallied and won four singles points to earn another Green and Gold victory! Anderson started the rally as she won her singles match first in the No. 1 singles spot.
Camila Tumosa earned the next point for the Eagles at the No. 2 singles spot. At the No. 3 position
Tiffany Carrillo battled out three hard sets and was victorious. Lau then finished her No. 5 position match to secure the win!
"We keep getting stronger," said Tumosa. "Today's match was tough, and we got the W as a team. We made it happen all together. I'm very proud of how we've been competing and I'm very excited for the upcoming season matches! It's going to be very competitive and we are ready"
The Eagles are hosting PLNU on Mar. 27 at 11:00 a.m. in hopes to increase their win streak to 6.
