IRVINE, Calif. – The No. 16 men's tennis team swept the Sea Lions 4-0.

Concordia Irvine's men's tennis team dominated the courts in their match up against Point Loma. The Eagles were able to hold majority of the opponents set scores to three or lower. The doubles point was won by the Eagles and sparked the momentum heading into the singles matches. No. 18 Yassine Smiej and Mike Jansen were the first Eagles to win their doubles match. Patrick Wong and Jan Simon were able to seal the deal as they finished last for the doubles matches but won the point for the Green and Gold.

Wong kept the energy going as he was the first to finish his singles match and earn another point for the Eagles giving them a 2-0 lead. No. 25 Smiej finished shortly after to earn the third point for Concordia. Benjamin Buck playing in the No. 4 singles position clinched the game as he won his sets 6-2 and 7-5!

The Eagles are currently 8-6 overall and play Northern Arizona on Apr. 16 for their final home match of the season!
