SURPRISE, Ariz. – The No. 18 women's tennis team swept Academy of Art in the quarterfinals of the PacWest Conference Championships!

This is the first time Comcordia has matched up against No. 24 Art U. The Eagles had a great start to the match as they earned the doubles point from Rebekah Anderson and Taylor Lau winning their match 6-1 at the No. 2 position and Camila Tumosa and Alyssa Zayat earning the win at the No. 3 position. Heather Richards continued the momentum at the No. 4 singles position as she won in two sets (6-0, 7-5). No. 44 Anderson was next to create a 3-0 lead over the Urban Knights. She came back after losing the first set 4-6 to then dominate her opponent with set scores of 6-2 and 6-3. Taylor Lau came in to clinch the quarterfinal game for the Green and Gold as she controlled her match the whole time. Lau won in two sets with the scores being 6-3 and 6-2.

The Eagles will face No. 11 Hawai'i Pacific on Apr. 23 at 9:00 a.m. in the PacWest semifinal. For the full Eagle schedule CLICK HERE!
