OAKLAND, Calif. - The Concordia women's volleyball team went on the road for the PacWest opener against Holy Names on Saturday. The Eagles were able to sweep the Hawks in three with scores of 26-24, 25-16, and 25-20.

Middle blocker Jalyssa Sanchez had a big day at the net with five blocks and four of those were solo blocks. Sanchez added eight kills with a hitting percentage of .444. Kirra Schulz led the team with 13 kills and 15 digs while Daniela Poles was right behind with 9 kills and 14 digs.

Brianna Latigue dished out 27 assists while libero Cassidy Gelacio dug up 18 digs in the back row for CUI.  Julia Wilson came in defensively and had eight digs and one ace. Hannah Tostado led the Eagles at the service line with two aces and contributed four digs as a middle.

The Eagles advance to 6-2 and 1-0 in PacWest on the season and will continue on the road at Biola on Saturday, Sept.25 at 12 p.m.
