HONOLULU, HI – The Concordia University Irvine women's volleyball team finished their road game stint in Hawaii against Hawaii Pacific on Saturday. The Golden Eagles were able to earn a series sweep and win in four sets with scores 25-22, 25-20, 23-25, and 25-17.
All hitters for the Golden Eagles who played on the court earned at least one kill. CUI was tough at the service line as they recorded a team-high of 14 aces throughout the four set match. Four different Golden Eagles contributed with two while setter
Michelle Feliciano led the Green and Gold with three.
Kirra Schulz and
Kennedy Farley had 14 and 10 kills respectively. Schulz picked up eight digs while Farley was right behind with six. Freshmen
Ally Scheidle finished with nine kills and six digs along with
Cassie Prior contributing four kills, two blocks and digs. Middle blocker
Halli Hooks had another impressive match up at the net with six blocks and two being solo blocks.
Julia Wilson was all over the court digging up 14 while
Cassidy Gelacio had five. Three different setters came into the game with Feliciano dishing out 19 assists,
Devin Sivertson had eight, and
Kawehi Chang finished with seven. Feliciano also threw down two kills that went untouched on the opposing side.
The Golden Eagles will be back in the CU Arena for back-to-back games as they play against Holy Names Friday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. against Dominican.
