CUI continued to pressure the Silverswords, Brianna Guerra supplying the most threatening attempts off multiple corners. Her headers were soaring just high of the goal three times.
The first half ended in a single-goal advantage for the Golden Eagles, CUI holding the visitors to only two shots.
The following half saw a much more offensive-minded Silverswords, but they couldn't break past the home side's backline and Riley Urquiza making two vital saves throughout the half to keep their advantage.
After their 1-0 victory, the Golden Eagles improve to 5-2-1 in the conference, climbing to just a single point behind the Sea Lions. This win keeps the Golden Eagles' post-season dreams alive with two games left in their regular season schedule, hoping to stay strong in the west regional rankings.
