BILLINGS, Mont. - This morning at the NCAA D2 West Regionals, the Concordia University Irvine men's and women's cross country teams battled harsh conditions in hopes of making a national berth.
In the men's 10k,
Fernando Aguirre led the way for the Golden Eagles finishing with a time of 31:46 with
Noah Plaza and
Colin Bervig finishing seconds later.
Jason St. Pierre and
Juan Sebastian Garcia would round out the scoring runners for concordia. Out of the 26 West Region teams competing, the Golden Eagles earned a new program-best 10th place finish.
The women's 6k invitational race saw
Porshe Eismann and
Jori Paradis earn All-Region as they finished 16th and 24th respectively.
Sara Feitz also delivered a strong performance finishing in the top 50. The women's team battled hard for a 12th place finish out of the 26 squads racing.

This was a historic season for both squads as new bests were established across multiple categories. The Golden Eagles will look to build off this momentum this winter as they gear up for their indoor track season
