SAN RAFAEL, Calif. - After notching six goals against the Silverswords last Saturday, the Golden Eagles took off for one of their final road matches against Dominican University in San Rafael. With their strong performances against Hawaii Hilo and Chaminade, they successfully tightened up the PacWest title race, CUI coming within 5 points of the conference-leading Penguins. 
The Golden Eagles held a solid offensive presence throughout the game, outshooting the home side 18 to 11 shots, but the Penguins secured an early lead with the sole goal in the twenty-second minute. 
Despite falling to a deficit in the second half, the Golden Eagles didn't go down without a fight, with Anthony Morales and 
Alex Perez collecting four shots each, pressuring the Penguin's back line. Seniors 
Miguel Pena and 
Klaus Huovila pestering the Dominican defense with three shots each themselves. 
Morales, who scored the second brace of his career last Saturday, was the most threatening, forcing a save from the keeper on three separate occasions.
Andre Flores made five saves for the Golden Eagles, marking his fiftieth save of the season.
The Golden Eagles will conclude their season this Saturday against the Urban Knights of ARTU. Tied with Point Loma in third on the PacWest standings, they are looking to end the season on a high note after an impressive conference season.
