Box Score LA MIRADA, Calif. - The Concordia University, Irvine women's water polo team started their road game stanza Friday against Biola. The Green and Gold were able to secure their first win of the season with a final score 15-9.

Junior
Kim Reidel started the game out for CUI with the first goal that was assisted by goalie
Tatiana Cava.
Madison Ravelo and
Emily Tucker both threw the ball in the back of the net to take a 3-2 lead over Biola.
Nicole Tormey put one in the back of the cage with Ravelo adding another two in the second quarter. Reidel scored with just under 30 seconds left before the half while taking a 7-4 lead.

The third quarter is the only quarter where Biola scored more shots on CUI by one, however, the Green and Gold kept the lead the whole time.
Tamsyn Evezard and Reidel took control in the fourth and had two goals each.
Ta'iuta Uiagalelei finished for CUI scoring the last goal with just under one minute remaining.

Ravelo and Reidel led with four goals a-piece and Evezard right behind with three. Goalie Cava played between the posts the whole 32 minutes and had 15 saves with a .625 save percentage.

The Eagles will be back in the pool Saturday, Feb. 5 at 3 p.m. against UC Irvine just down the street. CUI will have their home opener Friday, Feb. 11 at 1:30 p.m. against Cal Lutheran.
