IRVINE, Calif. – The Concordia University Irvine women's volleyball team continued their home stand against 2021 PacWest champion Chaminade Wednesday night. First place Chaminade walked away with a 3-0 win in the first meeting of the season with scores 18-25, 14-25, 19-25.
Cassie Prior has continued her momentum offensively as she led the Golden Eagles with 11 kills. This marks the fifth consecutive match Prior finished with double digit kills and has hit the 100 kill mark joining Farley and Schulz.
Kennedy Farley had eight kills and put up one out of the two solo blocks for CUI.
Kirra Schulz was all over the court in the back row digging up 16 kills and adding five kills.
Danielle McCasland and
Ally Scheidle had a combined of five kills between the two.
Freshman
Halli Hooks finished with three kills with one solo block. Devin Silvertson led the offense for CUI with 16 assists and
Michelle Feliciano with seven. Sivertson led the Golden Eagles with two aces that went untouched along with Prior. Libero
Julia Wilson went above and beyond scooping up 20 digs all over the court.
The Golden Eagles are back in the CU Arena Thursday, Sept. 29 as they take on Hawaii Pacific at 7 p.m. followed by Hawaii Hilo Saturday, Oct. 1 at 5 p.m.
