IRVINE, Calif. - The Golden Eagles dominated on Thursday night as they took control of the match against Hawaii Pacific in three sets and improve to 8-7 (5-3 PacWest). The final scores were 25-14, 25-22, and 25-7.
Senior
Ola Magiera had an outstanding performance throughout the match setting a career high at CUI with 13 kills while hitting an impressive .611. Magiera led the Golden Eagles with kills while freshman
Cassie Prior was right behind with 12 kills with a hitting percentage of .360 and two aces. Prior continues her streak of double-digit kills making that her sixth match in a row.
Kennedy Farley finished the match with five kills and eight digs while
Kirra Schulz threw down six tough hits.
Setters
Devin Sivertson and
Michelle Feliciano both earned 16 assists along with two and one ace along the way. Sivertson was unstoppable at the end of the service line as she went on a seven point run to take a huge 17-6 jump on the Sharks in the third.

Duo Schulz and
Julia Wilson scooped up 11 and 15 digs during the match and are all over the court the entire match making their digs look easy against their opponents. Wilson has made her way to third in the Pacwest conference with 4.20 digs per set and Schulz with 3.91.

Middle blocker
Halli Hooks put up the single solo block for the Golden Eagles and had five block assists. Hooks has recorded 51 total blocks with nine being solo and leads the PacWest conference with averaging 1.28 blocks per set.

CUI will finish their home court stint on Saturday, Oct. 1 as play against Hawaii Hilo at 5 p.m. and will be on the road as they compete against Fresno Pacific on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 2 p.m.
