CUI traveled up the coast Thursday night for a matchup against Academy of Art. The Urban Knights defeated the Golden Eagles 94-63.
Redshirt senior
Cameron Fini dropped a season-high 16 points going a solid 6 for 12 from the floor. Fini known for his three-point shot, drained a couple of treys as well.
Junior
Bryce Fitzgerald led all Golden Eagles in scoring on the night posting 22 points. The forward out of Las Vegas also hit all his free throws in the game.
Due to injuries, CUI only dressed seven players for the game. This resulted in sophomore
Connor Gleason and redshirt junior
Jonah Tolmaire seeing a season-high in minutes. Gleason contributed with five points while Tolmaire helped run the offense when he stepped onto the court.
"Top to bottom, ART U is probably the most talented team in the conference, so I was proud of the seven able bodies we had who really got ready and played hard," said CUI head coach
Ken Ammann. "Tall order for us to get it done with that few healthy players, but our focus needs to be better so we can avoid getting frustrated with too many little things. Have to clean that up if we want to get the win on Saturday."
