Irvine, Calif.- The CUI women's volleyball team was able to sweep past the Dominican University Penguins in Saturday afternoon's match. CUI women's volleyball came out on top 25-15, 25-21, and 25-21. The Golden Eagles are now 5-4 in PacWest play and 9-8 overall.

The Golden Eagles had a day offensively with a total of 43 team kills at .274. Graduate students
Alex Parisian and
Ola Magiera made the Penguins feel extra cold with their offensive tactics. Parisian had eight kills at .429 coming in hot in the second set and Magiera with seven kills at .357. Sophomore
Caitlin Jarrell also added four kills of her own and three solo blocks to shut the Penguins down offensively.

Kennedy Farley was able to add six kills and 5 digs to the board. While senior outside hitter
Kirra Schulz racked up her ninth consecutive double-double of the season in Saturday's match. Schulz ended the match with 14 kills at .294 and 11 digs.
Delaney Risse was not letting the Penguins get past her either, as she led the Golden Eagles with 12 digs.

Alyson Fullbright led CUIÂ with 19 assists andÂ
Kawehi Chang came close with 13. CUI was able to come out on top after a determined late lead effort by the DU Penguins in the third set.
