SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Concordia University Irvine women's volleyball team conclude their stint in Northern California against Academy of Art on Monday. The Urban Knights defeated the Golden Eagles in three sets with scores 25-15, 25-23, and 25-22.
Libero
Delaney Risse reached her tenth double-digit game with 10 digs throughout the match. Setter duo
Alyson Fullbright and
Kawehi Chang reached 21 and 11 assists along with a combined 12 digs. Chang was tough at the service line leading the Golden Eagles to three aces.
Kirra Schulz led CUI with nine kills while
Kennedy Farley added eight and both dug up seven.
Ola Magiera and
Danielle McCasland both contributed with five kills a-piece. Freshman
Kayden Croy came into the game and put down three kills. Middle blocker
Caitlin Jarrell led the Gold and Green defensively up at the net with three blocks and four kills.
The Golden Eagles will be back in the CU Arena for a four game stretch as they take on Hawai'i teams starting with Chaminade on Thursday Oct. 26 with a start time of 7 p.m.
