Irvine, Calif.- The CUI women's volleyball team went the distance in a four-set thriller against No.15 Chaminade in Thursday night's match. CUI was able to come back in the third set to force a fourth with the help of their defense.

The Silverswords were able to battle through, overtaking the Golden Eagles with scores 25-15, 25-18, 21-25, and 25-19.

Delaney Risse wasn't letting anything hit the floor as she racked up 17 digs and two assists for the Golden Eagles. Along withÂ
Kirra Schulz and
Kawehi Chang who each added nine more for the Golden Eagle defense.

In the front row,
Halli Hooks was able to defend the nest with four blocks. While
Caitlin Jarrell and
Kayden Croy also added a combined four blocks to shut the Silverswords down during the third set.

Kill leader for the match was
Kirra Schulz with 10 kills at .250.
Kennedy Farley and
Cassie Prior were also on the leader board with five kills each. Jarrell added four more of her own kills and Croy tallied up an additional five kills for the Golden Eagles.Â
Alyson Fullbright had 17 assists leading Thursday's match and
Kawehi Chang added an additional 14.
