Irvine, Calif.- The CUI women's volleyball rallied with the Azusa Pacific Cougars on Saturday night's five set nail-biter. The Cougars were able to overtake the Golden Eagles with scores 25-22, 25-18, 22-25, 25-23, and 15-11.

Senior outside hitter
Kirra Schulz was the star of the game as she tallied up an astounding 34 kills with a hitting percentage of .397. Schulz managed to break her own record against APU earlier this season with 29 kills in a five-set match, the record before that was 27 kills in five sets from 2011. Schulz also managed her fifteenth double-double this season.

Alongside her,
Kennedy Farley added her fifth double-double of the season with 12 kills and 16 digs.
Danielle McCasland added six more kills for the Golden Eagles and led the team with four aces. Middle blockers
Caitlin Jarrell and
Halli Hooks had a combined eight more kills for CUI.

Kawehi Chang set the green and gold up with 22 assists and
Alyson Fullbright leading the team with 33 assists.

The Golden Eagles are back in action on November 16, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. for senior night in their final home game of the season.
