The Golden Eagles women's tennis team opened their season with a 6-1 victory over Hope International University Wednesday afternoon. CUI got off to a fast start as they took the doubles point to begin the match. 

Senior Heather Richards who had an injury plagued 2022 season looked strong with her doubles partner freshman Sophie Rachor. Junior Tiffany Carrillo who had a great season last year picked up right where she left off while working with new doubles partner freshman Jessica Bear. 

Seniors Kimia Rahmani and Alyssa Zayat impressed in their singles matches. Rahmani shutout her opponent 6-0 in both matches.
