The Golden Eagles were closing in on a potential season sweep of the Sea Lions, but Point Loma escaped with a narrow 56-55 victory down in San Diego.
Stephanie Lee sank a key three-pointer with under two minutes to play to give CUI a 55-52 lead.
Haylee Saurette responded with not one, but two crucial jumpers down the stretch to put PLNU in front by one.

Even with that outcome, Concordia remains in the driver's seat for a top two seed in the upcoming PacWest Conference tournament. The Golden Eagles are now 13-3 in league play and are 1.5 games ahead of third place Hawaii Pacific entering Sunday.
CUI recently won 11 consecutive games – the most wins in a row for the program in the NCAA DII era – and is an impressive 16-6 on the season.
The Golden Eagles host Biola on Thursday, Feb. 16 to open up a four-game homestand to close the regular season.
