Box Score 2 WHITTIER, Calif.- The CUI women's water polo team goes one for two in their matchups against Whittier College and Biola University.

CUI 6, WC 4
In the first quarter of the first game, CUI lead 2-0 over the Poets. They were able to keep the lead going into the second quarter and only allowed one into the net from the opposing team ending the first half with a score of 4-1. The Green and Gold stayed ahead the whole time and the last two goals of the game took place in the third quarter.
Madison Ravelo had the highest points scored in the game with four.
Tamsyn Evezard and
Emily Tucker put one each into the goal. Single assists came from
Kim Reidel,
Allyson Corbett,
Paige Henson,
Nicole Tormey, and two from
Allie Gaetano.
Nicole Tormey won two of the four sprint offs at the start of each quarter.
Tatiana Cava had 14 saves.

CUI 10, BU 11
The second game was a nail-biter. The Golden Eagles put four on the board quickly in the first quarter. The second quarter brought two goals, making the score tied 6-6 at the end of the first half. The second half for CUI brought four final goals. Ravelo had four goals again in the second game and Reidel had three behind her.
Andie Perreira, Corbett, and Tucker added singles for CUI. Corbett had four assists to help stay close to the opposing team. Ravelo,
Whitney Lee, and
Jericho Callender also had one assist. Tormey lead the sprint offs again and earned three of the wins. Cava saved 19 of the Eagles shots.

Next up, CUI will host a double header with both their home opener and senior night in Irvine at Woollett Aquatic Center on Thursday March 2 at 11:00 am for the first game, and 7:00 pm for the second game.
