Close Games At Claremont

CLAREMONT, Calif.- The Golden Eagles played a double header against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Brown at Axelrood Aquatics Center at Claremont. The second game against Brown resulted in two three minute overtime quarters. Both games were close with great offensive and defensive plays but CUI fell just one goal short in each game.
 
CUI 6, CMS 7
Starting off the first game, Allie Gaetano and Kim Reidel scored one each in the first quarter. Tamsyn Evezard scored once and Andie Perreira twice within the second and third quarter. Allyson Corbett had the final goal of the game for CUI. Assists came from Perreira and two Ravelo. Tatiana Cava played all 32 minutes in the net and had 11 saves. Nicole Tormey won two of the four sprint offs.
 
CUI 11, BRN 12
Tormey collected five of the six swim sprint offs at the beginning of the quarters along with one assist. Evezard started off the quarter with a goal. She had three total for the game. Reidel had two goals on the scoreboard, one on a powerplay and one that was a no looker from having defense press her. Ravelo had six stunning goals and one assist to help keep the game close. Cava played all 38 minutes and collected 14 saves.
